To familiarize candidates with the theoretical foundation of cognitive psychology, the research protocols of cognitive science and the implication of each for classroom technology and instruction. Topics include: the distinction between declarative, procedural, strategic knowledge, and metacognition; information processing models of human memory; and semantic networks.
